Information Technology i.e. IT is a term that denotes the designing, development, maintenance, and the use of computer software, systems, and networks. It emphasizes the processing and distribution of data. Here, data encompasses information, statistics, facts gathered for analysis, storage, and reference.

Information Technology has a close association with computing technology. For example, the internet, computer hardware, software, and computer networks. To sum up, Information Technology refers to the designing and implementation of computer networks for data processing and communication.

Information Technology incorporates a network of efficient computer systems that process information, can remotely connect different peripherals and components, develop software that can seamlessly work and distribute this data.

JSPM’s JSCOE course on Information Technology is designed to provide students with a strong knowledge of the digital world and cyber space. Students will learn how different computing systems interconnect, transmit data, and process them to provide mission critical information in a safe, reliable and ethical way.
