Department Library

The main purpose of department library is exclusively for electrical Department students so that they can use time more effectively mainly during exam preparation time. The students are provided with more space calm environment during examination. The Department Library occupies a unique place in academic and research activities of the Department. It is perhaps the most important central facility provided by the Institute. Under EESA, department has library which has more than 250 books of national and international authors, journals, books for competitive exams like GATE, MSEB etc. Department library also includes a good number of previous year projects, seminar reports, for students to refer. The Library maintains an excellent collection of data books, occasional papers and other documents/materials.

Lab as Museum

To demonstrate Electrical Engineering from real life examples to phenomenon through activity based learning. Power Electronics and Switchgear Protection Lab is developed as Lab as Museum. It is activity based learning for students.

Students have developed various working models, charts to explain various critical concepts in Electrical Engineering such as Electrical shock and accidents, wireless power transfer through Tesla coil, Harmonics and some basic concepts like series and parallel electric circuits, solar to sound and light conversion of power, wind power usage etc.

Thermal power station model, Induction motor and D.C. motor cutaway sections, Bucholz relay for Transformer protection, give students confidence of explaining various difficult topics and best learning experience.

EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Cell)

The aim of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Electrical Engineering Department, is to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial qualities in the budding professionals who are interested in starting their own ventures. The College provides infrastructure and technical support to the students having innovative ideas to transform into new products and services for the betterment of the society. The EDC also assists all the aspirants with mentoring, planning and execution of their start up idea into a real business.

III (Industry Institute Interaction)

The Objectives of III cell are,

  • To bridge the gap between Industry and Institute.
  • To improve the quality of technical education to meet the needs of the industry.
  • To encourage the students for doing the industrial training and industrial visits.
  • To promote departments to organize workshops & expert lectures from industrial field.
  • Training

    The services rendered by Seventh Sense Talent Solutions, FACE, MPTA Education, Pinpoint Enterprises, Vidyut Vikas in conducting soft skill/Technical training program, Company Specific Training, C, C++ and Python, PLC & SCADA Automation Training, Cable Fault Identification, Energy Audit and Management etc. for our students. The trainees have expressed that the training program was very effective in learning soft skills to achieve the level of proficiency that companies expect in their selection process. The modules on resume-writing, personal interviews, group discussions and current events were covered extensively and were felt very useful by many students.

    IEEE

    Department organizes enrichment program through professional student chapter such as IEEE.The motto is to create awareness in the budding engineers on the latest technological innovation and networking with the peers. The student branch is a well organized body and is planning to build up a separate office and library of volumes on Electrical streams and a handful of periodicals including IEEE journals. The student branch takes up a host of activities throughout the year including guest lectures, video screening, technical quizzes, mock interviews and design contests for the benefit of students of Electrical Electronics and Technology branches.

    E-learning platform

    Department provide e-learning platform like MOODLE. Students can access digital content of the courses they are enrolled for, from Institute cloud server anywhere and anytime. It provides Hassle-free Virtual Engagement (The E-learning platform helps institutions to provide education to students online through an easy-to-use virtual classroom setup), Teacher-Student Communication (A virtual communication platform to help teachers & students collaborate at any given point & bridge the communication gap between them.)

    GFM Services

    Department has guardian faculty member (GFM) activity this helps in monitoring the students extracurricular activity and his/her academic performance.

    Counseling is a strong activity carried out by GFM.

    Parental counseling is also done in some cases. Counseling has brought in wonderful results like, relief from peer fear, more understanding of one’s own talent and weakness, remedial measures for personal problems, strong bonding between faculty and students.

    News convey system for student

    I) Google Groups: to convey academic information we formed google groups for SE,TE and BE student separately so faculty can upload study material important notices on it.
    II) MOODLE: students are enrolled on MOODLE so student can get all study material like assignments, notes, ppts, tests, test schedule etc through it. and student can access this data from anywhere.
    III) Whatsapp group: We are also using social media for communication purpose for eg. whatsapp. We have created division wise whatsapp groups so we can share all information to the students.
