The faculties engage themselves in routine teaching in classroom and experimentation in laboratories throughout the semester. Department of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering is prepared to meet the challenges and is playing a leadership role in shaping the education by providing unique educational and research opportunities in the forefront of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering and their applications.

The students are focused with the use of conceptual understanding of core domain areas in Telecommunication as well as enhanced design skills disseminating their analytical abilities. About Department Library

Department Library of E&TC, JSPM’s Engineering College is served as a resource center for teaching staff and students by providing knowledge through both in the form of print and digital books and journals. Library intends to incorporate the latest technology & adopt user friendly towards students and faculty.

Guardian Faculty Member

In this technology age, the resources are abundant but we strongly believe in importance of teachers to shape the all-round personality. In the role of teacher, we encourage independent thought, independent investigation and ultimately independent learning.

Purpose of Guardian Faculty Member(G.F.M.):

1. Student Diversity: Our students owe better diversity in terms of backgrounds, family culture, socio-economic conditions, academic profiles, etc. All the student diversities can give better effect if teachers are doing intentional efforts to blend them.
2. The quantum of students may be hurdle to server individual’s need and sharpen the differentiated but student specific potential.

Constitution of Guardian Faculty Member:

1. Every batch of approximately 15 students in the class is assigned by one teaching faculty to cater individuals need.
2. The scope of problem solving is at par. i.e. all the queries of student not only teaching- learning and technical problems but every problem of their life up-to carrier building.
3. Activities are planned to nourish their inter-personal and Intra-personal skills.
4. G.F.M. interact them weekly basis as a regular practice, however students can approach them any time.
5. Regular reporting about the activities by G.F.M. to HoD and Principal.

Advantages of G.F.M. System:

1. To promote the personal/social, educational, and career development of all students
2. To address the problems of diversified student quantum.
3. To supervise individual student’s growth.
4. To provide an opportunity for an individual to see a variety of available options and thereafter, assist the student in making a wise choice.
5. Enhancing the student interest in the academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
6. To build affinity and sense of conducive atmosphere which is the most probable key factor

Lab as Museum

Lab as museum is a one of the best practice in the department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. This lab is basically developed for creating interest about electronics technology among the students and visitors. Normally any student comes in the department learns all the tools and techniques in three years of the graduate program. Hence this lab was developed to give a complete knowhow about the tools and techniques at one glance. Also the students will be doing hands on practice of some small electronics circuits. The visitors can also see various live projects. The project development cycle is also showcased in the museum so that students can see and development own project. The museum also exhibit the components used in the electronics as a building blocks of the circuits.

Telecommunication Engineering Student Association (T.E.S.A)

Objectives & Purpose

1. To work towards practical oriented learning
2. To groom and nurture the qualities of teamwork, leadership.
3. To provide exposure to the public and executives communication
4. To provide co-curricular training and to keep them updated
5. To motivate the students towards core research in the field of E&TC


T.E.S.A – E & T C Student Association is mainly initiated to encourage the students, to voice their innovative thoughts and also it acts as an open forum to our alumina. The T. E.S.A of J. S. College of Engineering acts as a bridge between the students and the industry level R&D. We are giving a toast of guest lectures by the experts to promote the ideas in R&D. We learn in two ways, one by reading and the other by the repo with smarter people. We believe in the quote “Never quit! If you stumble, get back up and move closer to your dreams and goals. You can do it!” T. E.S.A functions completely by the students and guided by our caring CARE faculties .We motivate students to be updated to recent trends. T.E.S.A is one of the most efficiently functioning associations in our college.

Expected Outcome

Due to brainy activities at regular a interval which provides a good deal of platform to the students to exhibit their budding thoughts. Academic and professional development & the quality life of students is improved.

Expert Lecture On “Current Trends in VLSI Design

TESA of E&TC Department organized an Expert lecture on 16th July 2018 in seminar hall. The resource person Mr.Vaibhav Tarate (Entrepreneur and Mentor at Semiconductor Training @Rs1) were called. The program is started with introduction and felicitation of expert lecture by Dr.D.B.Salunke (HOD E&TC). The session is stated with Basic fundamentals of VLSI. The expert elaborated on PLD Based design with VHDL , Functional specification understanding and Architectural design, Design implementation using VHDL, Simulation Using VHDL, Synthesis and performance improvement techniques. Mr Vaibhav Tarate sir shown the FPGA development boards as well as the springer books which was published by expert on VLSI domain. For the expert lecture total 60 BE Students and four faculty members were present. Mr.Tushar Mote (Event Coordinator) at the end given a vote of thanks.

Induction Program-2018

The Induction Program for S.E. 2018 batch and “Teachers day” was held on 05/09/2018 at B-Building 506. The program started at 3:00 pm welcoming all the dignitaries, teachers and the SE students followed up with Saraswati puja by H.OD Dr.C.A.Manjare, Prof.S.M.Hambarde,SE Regular Class Coordinator Prof.S.A.Wakure,Direct SE Class Coordinator Prof.R.D.Gawade,TE Class Coordinator Prof.S.S.Taware and program coordinator Prof. S.V.Malewar. At the beginning Farhan Shaikh and Shivangi Bhat gave welcome speech. Dr. C.A .Manjare was felicitated by TE topper Miss.Anisha Parit . Prof.S.M. Hambarde, Prof. S. A. Wakure, Prof. R.D. Gawade,Prof S.S.Taware, Prof. S.V.Malewar and all teachers were felicitated by TE students. TE Topper student Miss. Anisha Parit addressed on behalf of all the TE students sharing their experience so far and thanking all the teaching and nonteaching staff for their contribution to academics .Also she motivates all SE students for excelling in curricular and extracurricular activities. Dr. C.A.Manjare delivered a speech to address all the SE students for their bright futures.She expressed importance of sincerity and hard work in their carrier.

Induction Program-2018


The parent meet 2018 was chaired by Dr. C.A. Manjare, HOD (E &TC), Dr. P.M. Patil , Professor (E &TC), , & Prof. M. B. Tadwalkar, Asst. Professor (E &TC).The overall co-ordination of meet was handled by Prof.V.P.Patil Dr. C. A. Manjare has given the introduction of department, Vision & Mission of the department, activities conducted in department & appealed parents for industry institute interaction Class wise activities were elaborated by respective class co-ordinators. Training & Placement activities were discussed by Dept. T&P Co-ordinator Prof. D. G. Ingale. FE, SE, TE Toppers of SPPU Theory exam 2017 & Winners of “Techno quiz-18” were felicitated by faculty & Parents. Parents expressed their views in the meeting regarding conduct of academics. Vote of thanks is given by Prof. S.M. Hambarde. In the last session, GFM shared the progressive development of students with the respective parent. Parents appreciated about the overall arrangement of parent meet, teaching learning process adopted by the department, efforts taken by the faculty for effective teaching learning, Training & Placement Activity.



The “Technoquiz-2018” technical event is conducted at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering on 25th August 2018 with full of enthusiasm. The Technoquiz-2018 technical aptitude test conducted for SE, TE and BE students. Students learn to tackle the question and to find the solution with in limited time of span through competition. So they learn about time management as well as selection of question for swift response. Total 110 students were participated for the event.



The department of E&TC Engineering, JSCOE, Pune organized an Interdepartmental one day event “ Mind Your Idea (MYI-18)” on Saturday, 08/09/2018. In this event the participating groups presented their Real time projects, models, posters and power point presentations based on the real time problems in the society, industries & other organizations and providing smart engineering solutions for these problems. The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr.M G Jadhav, JSCOE, Pune, HOD E&TC Dr C A Manjare, QAC member for JSCOE, Prof. Mrs. Salunke and other department staff. This event was organized for SE/TE/BE students of all branches.


Industrial training at “Consul Neowatt”

The Department of E&TC Engineering, has organized Industrial training program of two days at UPS manufacturing company “Consul Neowatt”, Holkarwadi, Pune under the subject of Electronic system design for TE (E&TC) students on 6th and 7th September 2018. 44 students and 4 faculties were attended training in two batches. Miss. Shilpa, HR manager welcomed our students and faculty Dr. C A Manjare, Prof. S D Patil, Prof. V P Patil and Prof. S V Malewar at 10.00 am. Mr. Mahesh Sonawane, Training Incharge, Consul Neowatt gave introduction of company, and their different types of UPS manufactured at plant. He explained types of UPS, rectifiers, and batteries. He further explained working principle, functions and operations of UPS.

As per the Motivation and Guidelines from our founder secretary Prof. (Dr.) T. J. Sawant Chip- Patron & his Management Team and Principal Dr. M. G. Jadhav, two days “International Conference on knowledge discovery in Science and Technology -19” [ICKDST-19] was Organized 22nd and 23rd FEBRUARY 2019. This International conference was sponsored by Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune & Technically sponsored by IEEE Pune Section & IEEE computer Society, Pune. It included four tracks namely Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer & Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering.

1. International Conference on Knowledge discovery in Science and Technology organized at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, JSPM’s Jayawantro Sawant College of Engineering, Hadapsar, Pune.

2. One week Faculty Development Program on Advances in Automation organized at Department of Electronics and Telecommunication, JSPM’s Jayawantro Sawant College of Engineering, Hadapsar, Pune.
3. The event PROXZI-18 (Poster & Project Competition) conducted at National Level Event Techmanthan-18 on 24th of January 2018 in department of E & TC.
4. The expert lecture was delivered by Mr. Shekhar D. Borse, Founder-RASPI INVENT, Dwarka, Nashik on “Industrial IoT and Raspberry Pi”.
5. Student Group of E&TC along with Prof. P.P. Kalyankar attended & participated in Smart India Hackathon 2017 – Grand Finale at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management, Nagpur on 1st and 2nd April 2017.

6. National Conference on Knowledge discovery in Science and Technology organized by Department of Electronics and Telecommunication & Electrical Engineering at JSPM’s Jayawantro Sawant College of Engineering, Hadapsar, Pune

7. Two days Industrial visit was organized for TE E&TC students at Copper Track Industries, Nashik on 22th and 23rd JAN 2017.
8. TE student Suraj Kumar Own the 1st Prize in “TECHMANTHON 17 Circuit Simulation. TE student Sujit Jha, Surajkumar & Tirtha Thorat Own the 2nd Prize in “TECHNOVISION 17 Quick circuit making & debugging” Narhe Campus, Pune.
9. A National Level “Technology Dissemination Contest for Students (TDCS-2016) organized at Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering, Hadapsar, Pune
